Emma Horon
Registered Social Worker
BSW, MSW
Hi, I’m Emma, a Master’s-level Registered Social Worker with over a decade of experience dedicated to supporting children, adults, and families. Whether you’re navigating parenting challenges, concerns about your child’s emotional well-being, or your own mental health, I offer a compassionate non-judgmental space for healing and growth.
My practice supports a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, trauma, grief, relationship challenges, ADHD, and identity exploration.
I’m a proud parent of two young children, who constantly remind me how to see the world with curiousity and wonder. When I’m not working, I enjoy staying active through sports, cooking and baking, and spending time with friends and family. Exploring everyday life through my kids’ eyes keeps me grounded and inspired in both my personal and professional life.
What I Offer…
Nurturing Growth and Resilience Through Play
Therapeutic play is a developmentally appropriate form of counselling that uses play - the natural language of children - to help them express emotions, process experiences, and develop coping skills in a safe, supportive environment. Child sessions are accompanied by parent feedback sessions where we can explore emerging themes and strategies together.
A Safe Space to Be Seen, Heard and Heal
Individual counselling offers a safe, supportive space to explore your thoughts, emotions and experiences at your own pace. It’s a collaborative process built on trust, compassion and respect - because meaningful change begins with feeling truly seen and heard.
Holding Space for You so You Can Hold Space for Them
Parenting can be deeply rewarding - and incredibly challenging. As a therapist, I offer a supportive space where you can explore your parenting experience with honesty and care. Whether you’re navigating big emotions, tricky behaviours, or simply feeling overwhelmed, I’m here to listen without judgement, help you make sense of what’s happening, and support you in finding calm, confidence and connection in your parenting journey. Parenting support can often accompany play therapy for your child and be incorporated into parent feedback sessions.
